Nice Blender rig here. I've been looking for a way to do this for FBX anim export to UE and the like. Is it necessary to use armature/bones for that? Can you bake this kind of anim to FBX? I've tried, and it always imports back wonky. Thanks! You rock.

Hey I hit a road block I can't figure out. I have my wing selected but when I hit bevel it doesnt change the wing at all. No many how many settings I change in the bevel menu it does nothing to how the wing appears

3:10 Why don't any software like this have a quick-bind option to pretty much all functions you activate from the interface? Right click the 'select faces' button and you can choose a bind. You'd easily quite quickly turn any software workflow into something you can work with.

Thanks for sharing. This is not Blender's "secret power". What you are describing is well knows in the industry by "Animatics". Any "serious" 3D-CGI software (Maya, Lightwave, Cinema4D) app does this (reusing animatics motions). Indeed, Blender is catching but the tools tree organization and the UI are still needing a lot of love and care. Things are way better that previous versions but a lot of functionality, tools and Addons continue spread "all over the place" without much logical sense. Stay safe.

This is not correct, raytrace refraction is just a name change to align more with EEVEE-Next (since it was supposed to release in 4.1, before being delayed). Open the scene in 4.0 or earlier and it will look the exact same, since EEVEE has not been updated AT ALL through the entire 3.0 cycle because of NEXT being in development.

If yall are having problems getting the refraction to look elongated make sure you shade smooth the circle and apply a subdivision surface modifier to it and the refraction starts to look better and more elongated. Thanks for the tutorial mate, learned a lot of stuff!
